Central Devon Constituency

Central Devon Constituency Central Devon is the third largest constituency by area in the country covering some 550 Sq Miles. It extends from the West of Okehampton to the East of Exeter and from Buckfastleigh in the South to Lapford, Eggesford and Chawleigh in the North. It also includes around half of Dartmoor National Park (including some of its most beautiful villages and towns such as Widecombe-in-the-Moor, Moretonhampstead and Chagford). It takes over an hour to drive from one extreme of the constituency to the other.

Central Devon is highly rural and the only constituency in the country without a conurbation with a population of over 10,000. The largest towns in Central Devon are Bovey Tracy/Heathfield, Okehampton and Credition all with populations under 8,000.
