  • MP ENJOYS LUSTLEIGH VILLAGE SHOW AND NEW PARK SUMMER FETE

    Mel Stride

CENTRAL DEVON MP Mel Stride enjoyed a well-earned break from his busy schedule last week and took his family to the Lustleigh Village Show and the New Park Summer Fete in Bovey Tracey. In Lustleigh he was pleased support a show which showcases the best of local food and drink as well as homemade arts and crafts. The profits from the event benefit worthy local causes such as the pre-school and play park. New Park is one of the two largest park home sites in Mr Stride’s Central Devon constituency and he has supported the community over many years on various issues including the retention of local bus services and national legislation which has improved the rights of park home owners.

    Mr Stride said:

“Events like these are important for so many reasons – they are opportunities for communities to come together and families to spend quality time together. In the case of the Lustleigh Village Show it was also a wonderful exhibition of our what our small independent traders have to offer with the quality and diversity of the various stalls a real treat.”
