Mel Stride MP is urging his constituents to enjoy a discounted meal at a local café, pub or restaurant after the Government’s ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme launched this week. The scheme – part of the government’s Plan for Jobs that will spur the country’s economic recovery from coronavirus – will give 50% off all food and non-alcoholic drinks, with a maximum discount per person of £10, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays in August. More than 72,000 businesses across the country are taking part including more than 5,000 in the South West.

“Here in Central Devon we have a wonderful variety of food outlets from traditional pub food, to Michelin star restaurants. The Eat Out to Help Out scheme provides a great incentive to head out for a cheap meal while helping local businesses and protecting jobs across our local hospitality sector.”
