Graphic PLC in Crediton gave the town’s local MP Mel Stride a tour of its facility today and updated him on its plans for a £3million three-story extension. The business, based on the Lords Meadow Industrial Estate, specialises in manufacturing high quality rigid and flex-rigid printed circuit boards. The successful and growing business has a turnover of around £20million a year and has expanded into Dongguan in China.
Chief Executive Officer David Pike, who briefed Central Devon MP Mel Stride on their plans, said:
“Our extension will increase the size of our factory by 15-20% and allow us to increase our 180-strong local workforce by another 15 or 20. We are really excited about expanding the size of our operation here in Crediton which will house the latest advanced technology and set us up well for the next decade of business.”
Mel added:
“It is fantastic to see one of Crediton’s major employers doing so well and creating even more jobs. I look forward to returning to see the new extension when completed.”
As well as updating Mel on their ambitious extension Mr Pike also told him about Graphic PLC’s work with local schools and Exeter University in order to encourage new employees and interest within the industry. For more information about the company visit www.graphic.plc.uk.
