Tom's Country Store in Ashburton had a special visit from the town’s Member of Parliament today (15/03/19) who wanted to wish owners Catherine and Tom Pollard and store manager Teresa Thorne good luck in their new venture. The business is located between Chuley Road Garage and the old Tuckers site. The visit was organised by Ashburton Town Councillor Sarah Parker-Khan. The business officially opened on 21st January and primarily sells a wide range of pet and garden supplies.
Cllr Parker-Khan said:
“Losing Tuckers was a big blow but having another business step up and fill the void has been really good to see.”
Mel added:
“It was great to meet Tom, Catherine and Teresa and there’s no doubt Tom’s Country Store is a real success. Residents who haven’t been down yet to see what is available here should definitely come and check it out.”
Tom’s Country Store is open Monday to Friday 8.30pm to 5pm and on Saturdays from 8.30am to 1pm. There is free parking and more information is available at www.tomsgardenequipment.co.uk.
