Mulberry House Residential Home in Bovey Tracey opened its doors this week. Prior to its official opening, Manager Jean Simpson welcomed Central Devon Member of Parliament Mel Stride and gave him a tour of the home which is owned by Buckland Care. Located on Brimley Road, Mulberry House is a renovation of an existing care home that has 42 en-suite bedrooms and is interior designed throughout with themed communal areas and a zone specifically for people living with dementia. Mr Stride was joined by Bovey Tracey Town Mayor and Teignbridge District Councillor Avril Kerswell.
Jean Simpson said:
“It was very good of Mel to show his support for our new home by spending some time with us. We were delighted to show him around our state-of-the-art facility and have been really pleased with the support we’ve had from the community here in Bovey Tracey. “It is absolutely vital that we have sufficient residential and nursing homes to care for our older residents when they need help later in life and I am delighted to see this excellent new home in Bovey Tracey about to open.”
