Spreyton Village Shop has welcomed a visit from Central Devon MP Mel Stride and Devon County Councillor James McInnes. The pair spoke with manager Bella Snook who has worked tirelessly through the pandemic alongside a team of volunteers to keep the shop open and stocked, to provide deliveries to those who were unable to leave their homes, and to ensure the shop has appropriate social distancing measures in place.
Bella said:
“The shop is doing really well but we need to strengthen our team of volunteers to help man the shop and to help get back to our regular opening hours. We welcome volunteers of all ages but considering Covid-19 restrictions we would be especially pleased to welcome any younger residents into our team. Anyone who feels they can help should ring us on 01647 231711.”

“It was lovely to see Bella again – the work she has done over the last few months has been a lifeline to many residents in the village. Community shops don’t run themselves and if any local resident feels they can help Bella by expanding her team of volunteers do get in touch.”
