8,500 local families receive £324 cost of living payment

Seven million payments of £324 have been made to low-income families through the government’s cost of living support in the past week, including to 8,500 local families here in Central Devon. Nationally, £2.3 billion has been paid to over 99% of those eligible across the UK.

Mel Stride MP has joined Chagford Borough Councillor Nicky Heyworth in raising awareness for Anti-Bullying Week 2022 which begins with Odd Socks Day today. Last year more than 80% of schools marked the week, reaching more than 7.5 million children and young people.
